great plugin to add all kinds of Amazon products without having to do too much work. It comes with caching capability for improved performance, and you can use BBCode to customize things. It is very nice.

I noticed this library is using Zend_Crypt_RSA, which requires ext/openssl be installed. Unfortunately, my host doesn’t have it installed nor is it likely to any time soon. I’d get a new host if I could, but alas, I am not.

In light of this, maybe the ext/openssl dependency ought to be removed? Zend_Crypt_RSA could be replaced with phpseclib’s Crypt_RSA, for example:

Hello Timo,
After upgrading to the latest version, the plugin doesn’t work anymore. For your information I’m using WP 2.8.4 and AmazonSimpleAdmin 0.9.6. As you can see from the example above, it did not show anything wherelese previusly it works fine. I did not make any changes to the codes or the post. The format remains the same: [asa book]1580087833[/asa]. Tried to change to [asa]1580087833[/asa] with similar blank result. Please advice

Danke nochmal fürs (erfolgreiche) Testen der neuen Version!

Die Integration der Amazon-Daten in die Wordpress-Suche werde ich als neuen Feature-Request aufnehmen. Kann ich momentan noch nichts zu sagen, hab mich mit der Wordpress-Suche noch nicht auseinander gesetzt.

Hallo Timo,
schön zu hören dass das Update bald fertig sein wird. Wenn du möchtest, kann ich es zum Test bei mir installieren.

Eine andere Frage hab ich dann auch noch: Füge ich ein Produkt ein, so kann dieses nicht über die Suchfunktion gefunden werden, auch in der Meta-Beschreibung taucht nur die ASIN auf. Gibt’s da einen einfachen Weg das Problem zu lösen?
